Side Hustle Ideas & Advice For Making Extra Money (Easily)
I see a side hustle in your future, I do. It's not some "woo-woo" prediction, it's based on the shifting workplace and economic landscape that is our daily reality.
If 100% of your monthly income comes from one source (job?) then you are 100% at the mercy of that employer.
I'm also 100% sure things change and one day, maybe not tomorrow, maybe not next month, but eventually your "security" will fail you - then what?
This is why you need a side hustle - to safeguard your financial future and ensure your ability to make money.
If you're like me, you like the idea of making extra money without working harder ... welcome to the passive income side hustle, more about this "lazy way" when you subscribe.

Hello, I'm James Burchill
Since January 2000 I have been officially self-employed and making my income from a mix of side hustles.
During this time I've weathered career setbacks, relationship failures and health problems.
I even "quit working" for more than 6 months and went travelling ...
During all of this (including when I quit working) money kept appearing in my bank accounts.
But it wasn't always this way.
In the beginning (like many people still do) I traded time for money.
A dollar amount for an hour of time "served" ;-)
I'm not complaining, I was paid handsomely for my business expertise in tech and worked for some of the largest companies and organizations in the world: Oracle, eBay, IBM, HP, the US & UK Govts ... many more.
But once that hour was gone, so was the money and I would have to trade another, and another. Think hamster wheel and you're getting the picture. Yes, a well paid hamster wheel but still a grind none the less.
They say "When the student is ready, the teacher appears" and it was like that for me. In this case the teacher was a 'perfect storm' of professional and personal failure. My employer went out of business overnight and my marriage ended. Good times - not!
Basically I had to adapt quickly and figure out how to make extra money under some extremely difficult circumstances. This was the genesis of my focus on the side hustle.
There's more to this story, but suffice to say I'm now a firm believer in the side hustle and how it's necessary for everyone.

A staggering 55 million people — more than 35% of the U.S. workforce — are now freelancers or contractors, and that number is projected to rise to 43% by 2020. About 44 million people report having some kind of side hustle, and of those who do, 36% say they earn more than $500 a month from it. [Source: Harvard Business Review]
